SOCIALS

Camanche – Church of the Visitation’s Altar and Rosary holiday bazaar will take place Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a quilt raffle, bake sale, silent auction, holiday items, and local arts and crafts. Lunch will be available.

Clinton —The Prince of Peace Auxiliary luncheon and country store will take place Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Boniface Hall. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12, and free for children younger than 5.

Davenport – St. Mary Parish’s annual bazaar will take place at the parish hall, Sixth and Fillmore streets, Nov. 12-13. Saturday’s sched­ule is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for $6. Sunday’s schedule is 8:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. with an authentic Mexican breakfast for $6. The bazaar will include a bake sale, raffle, trash and treasure, and knitting, sewing and Christmas items.    

Davenport – St. Alphonsus Parish will hold its annual craft show and luncheon Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gifts, baked goods and handmade crafts will be for sale. For more information or to rent a table, contact Pat Sigler at (563) 381-1086.

Davenport – Assumption High School and the class of 2012 invites people to “Pasta with the Pirates” Nov. 6 from 4-7 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens.

Davenport – Our Lady of Victory Parish’s Christmas Carousel Bazaar will take place at John F. Kennedy Catholic School Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bazaar features many Christmas and seasonal items and a raffle for cash prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Keokuk — Church of All Saints’ fall bazaar and festival will be Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2981 Plank Road. Bazaar includes antiques, baked goods,  and religious and Christmas items. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for children.

Keota — Holy Trinity Parish’s harvest dinner will take place Nov. 6 at St. Mary’s Parish Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade candy and other items will be for sale. Raffles will take place.  Tickets are available at the door.

Knoxville — St. Anthony Parish’s fall dinner will take place Nov. 6 from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is adults, $8; children ages 5-10, $4; children under 5, free.

Muscatine — The Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving dinner benefit is Nov. 6 at Gannon Hall from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Freewill donations will be accepted. Proceeds will provide Thanksgiving dinners to people in need.

North English — St. Joseph Parish will hold its fall dinner Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Freewill offerings will be accepted. The event includes a country store with crafts and baked goods.

Nichols — St. Mary Parish hosts its annual auction and luncheon  Nov. 6 at the parish hall. Silent auction is from 11:30 a.m. to  1 p.m. Regular auction follows.

Ottumwa – St. Patrick Church will host its annual fall dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12, and free for infants to 5-year-olds.

Tipton – St. Mary Parish’s Christmas Bazaar will take place at the church hall, 209 Mulberry St., Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be crafts, a cookie walk and food stand.

WORKSHOPS

Iowa City – Free workshops designed to foster a spirit of greater collaboration among parishes will take place Sunday, Nov. 20, at St. Patrick Church. Richard McCorry will present two sessions: “Creating More Welcoming Parishes” from 1-4 p.m. and “Spirituality During Times of Change” from 5-8 p.m.  An optional light supper will be offered from 4-5 p.m. for $7.
