The Catholic community of Clinton, Iowa, is proud to say that we have a jewel in our midst.

The Catholic Historical Center at St. Boniface is a fine example of faith-filled people giving of their time and talents in preserving the artifacts and the history of the Catholic Church in Clinton. Volunteers have worked long hours in archiving, preserving and displaying the artifacts that once belonged to the five former parishes of Clinton. These parishes of St. Irenaeus, St. Boniface, Sacred Heart, St. Mary and St. Patrick’s are now worshiping together as one as Prince of Peace Parish.

We hope that we can give the Catholic youth of Clinton, and all visitors to our community, a look back in time and an appreciation for the hard work, dedication and sacrifice given by their ancestors in ensuring that their symbols of the Catholic faith would inspire and live on for many years to come.

Stop by the center any Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. The committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the center. If you would like to schedule a tour of the center, please call Gary Herrity at (563) 243-8033 or Tom Koester at (563) 242-6166.
