CLINTON – The Sisters of St. Francis are again inviting the public to join them at vespers – evening prayer – on the Sundays of Lent at their home, The Canticle, 841 13th Ave. N.

The 45-minute prayer services will begin at 6 p.m. each Sunday beginning Feb. 26 and continuing March 4, 11, 18 and 25, and April 1.

Vespers services can include Scripture readings, hymns, psalms, reflection and prayer.

“This year we are inviting different Sisters and friends to share their Lenten reflection on the lives and works of inspirational peacemakers throughout history,” explained Sister Joan Theiss, OSF, coordinator of the weekly devotion. “Some of peacemakers we will be celebrating during these prayer services will be Dorothy Day, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Desmond Tutu.”
