Unborn children saved thanks to 40 Days

To the Editor:
We wanted to keep everyone updated about the wonderful results being obtained by your prayers and fasting to end abortion during the spring 2012 campaign of 40 Days for Life!
40 Days began on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22, and will continue until Palm Sunday, April 1. We are near the end of this campaign. Two hundred fifty-eight cities nationwide are participating in this spring’s 40 Days and five foreign countries.
As of Monday, March 12, 256 lives of unborn children have been saved from abortion, and these are just the ones we know about! This has been accomplished by people standing in front of abortion facilities, praying and reaching out to women and girls with love and hope and offering them help with their unplanned pregnancies.
Not only have these unborn children been given a chance at life, their mothers have been saved from the lifelong regret of knowing they have ended the life of their child, grandparents have been given the joy of knowing their grandchildren, and countless lives will be touched by these children.  Who knows, one of these children may be the next Steve Jobs!
Please continue to pray and fast to end abortion.  You are encouraged to pray each day from noon to 1 p.m.  And you may go to St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield weekdays for silent prayer from noon to 1 p.m.  Please check out 40DaysforLife.
com for daily updates.
May God continue to open our eyes to the heartbreak caused by abortion and may we become a nation that cherishes human life, from conception to natural death.
