DAVENPORT — The Father Ken Martin Golf Outing and dinner will be held Aug. 29. Preparations are underway for the annual event, which is held at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport with a scheduled tee time of 12:30 p.m. Dinner follows golfing at 5:30 p.m. and will again be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Davenport. Non-golfers are encouraged to sign up for the dinner only.
Funds raised from this annual event, now in its 24th year, are used to assist families facing a financial crisis situation that may force them to take their children out of a Scott County Catholic school because of an inability to pay tuition.
Applications for emergency scholarships are available through the schools and local parishes. Further detail on the events will be provided in parish bulletins in early July.
