To the Editor:
Another Memorial Day has come and gone. We waved our flags. We listened to songs with pleas to “God Bless America” and “God Bless the U.S.A.” Politicians love to end their speeches with “God bless America.”
Now I ask you one and all. Why should he? We forbid his name to be mentioned in public schools. Government buildings do not allow Nativity scenes at Christmas. And worst of all, we have a heinous law that allows abortion of babies in the womb – babies that are precious gifts from God himself!
Now Congress has rejected a bill that would have banned gender abortions. So if you don’t want to have a girl, you can have her aborted and wait for a boy. Planned Parenthood fought against the ban and continues to claim that the baby growing in the mother’s womb is “just tissue.”
Our country has sunk so low we don’t even recognize the dirt that has covered us. We need to dig ourselves out of the muck and respect all life again. Maybe then, and only then, will there be hope for us and our country of America!
