Bettendorf parish to hold mission

BETTENDORF — Father Carl Arico, founding member and vice president of Contemplative Outreach, will be giving a parish mission at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2. The mission is entitled “A Taste of Silence” and will address prayer in daily life.
The mission will be held on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the church. Each evening ends with benediction. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available on Monday and Tuesday before the service starting at 6 p.m. There will also be two services during the day on Monday and Tuesday. These services will begin with Mass at 8 a.m. and cover the same subject matter as the evening services. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available after each of these services. Books will be sold at all services.
Fr. Arico will also be available for private conferences of half an hour each on Monday and Tuesday between 1-4 p.m. in the church rectory. Sign-up sheets will be available at the mission services.
