Giving your last gift to God

You have probably noticed the check boxes about wills and estate planning on the Annual Diocesan Appeal envelope. Yes, people do check one or more of these boxes. Each year additional people check the box that they have included their parish, school or the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Davenport in their will. Thank you.
You are giving your last gift to God when you include the Church in some way in your estate plans. You are making a strong statement about the importance of God and Church in your life.
Recently two people did this very thing for the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Davenport. We have received the distribution of an estate gift of almost $10,000 and another is in probate at present.
The Catholic Foundation, established three years ago, is already making an impact on the diocese and our Catholic schools. Adding to a fund in the foundation is strengthening our future. Thanks for considering a gift in your estate plans.
To review the 2012 annual audit for the Catholic Foundation, go to our website www.davenportdiocese.org and you will find it on the development page. For more information, contact Sister Laura Goedken, development director for the diocese, at (563) 888-4252 or Goedken@davenportdiocese.org
