EDUCATIONAL
Coralville – St. Thomas More Parish will offer two Bible studies beginning in January. A study on First Corinthians started Jan. 21 from 7-8:30 p.m. and will last 11 Mondays. A couples study, “A Quick Journey Through the Bible,” began Jan. 20 from 6-8 p.m. and will last nine Sundays. To sign up for either study, contact Carol at (319) 338-9290 or jclyon5@msn.com.
Iowa City – A “Night of Champions” will take place Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. in the social hall of St. Patrick Church. Fea­tured speaker Chris Norton and presenters Marv Cook, Randy Norton and Mark Gannon, all former athletes, will address “How God’s Plan Drives Your Life.”  Freewill donations will be accepted.
LITURGY/PRAYER
Davenport – A pro-life Mass will be celebrated Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7 a.m. at St. Anthony Church.
Davenport – At St. Paul the Apostle Church, 9:30 am Mass Feb. 10 will include a blessing for unborn children and their parents. Congre­gants will also pray for couples hoping for a child and for couples who have lost a child.
Davenport — Soaking With a Purpose prayer meetings will take place at Eagles’ Wings on Feb. 8 and 22 at 7 p.m. Also, a healing Mass will be celebrated there Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. For more information, call (563) 324-7263 or email marcia@eagleswings.ws.

RETREATS
Richland — The Family Life Committee of Ss. Joseph and Cabrini Parish is sponsoring a Marriage Enrichment Afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 2-4 p.m., with a smoked chop dinner following  ($10 per couple).  IlaMae Hanisch is presenting “The Love of a Lifetime” at Mother Cabrini Parish Center. Wheatland – Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat will hold the following events. From Jan. 26-27 is “Winter Play,” including skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding or walking, 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. Fee: $60. On Feb. 3 is a Taize Vigil Service at 5 p.m. Leader is Sister Kathleen Storms, SSND. Churches of all faith traditions are invited. Freewill donation. On Feb. 6 is a mini-retreat from 10 a.m. to noon with Father Bill Kneemiller, Mass, input, time for quiet and a light lunch. Fee: $8. On Feb. 14 is “A Prairie Valentine” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch for you and your loved one and stay for a quiet walk. Fee: $30 for two. Iowa City — St. Mary Parish’s Knights of Columbus will host pancake breakfasts on Feb. 3 and 10 and April 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at the KC Family Center, 4776 American Legion Road. West Liberty — St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries Feb. 8 and 22 and March 8 and 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Parish Life Center. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $4.50 for people younger than 13.
