Hiawatha — Massimo Faggioli, a theology professor at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minn., will speak on “Liturgical Reform: The Crucial Impact and Legacy of Vatican II”  at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. His free lecture is third in a four-part series sponsored by Catholic Sisters of the Upper Mississippi Valley.
LITURGY/PRAYER
Davenport —  A healing Mass will be celebrated Feb. 14 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Confessions start at 6 p.m., praise music at 6:30 p.m., and Mass at 7:15 p.m.
Davenport – A pro-life Mass will be celebrated Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7 a.m. at St. Anthony Church.
Davenport – At St. Paul the Apostle Church, 9:30 a.m. Mass Feb. 10 will include a blessing for unborn children and their parents. Congre­gants will also pray for couples hoping for a child and for couples who have lost a child.

Washington – A healing Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 1, at St. James Church.  Confessions begin at 6:15 p.m. and Mass at 7 p.m. Prayers for healing follow Mass.
MEETINGS
Iowa City — The Diocese of Davenport’s Justice and Peace Advocacy Team will meet Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of St. Patrick Church. All are welcome. For more information, call the diocesan social action office at (563) 324-1911.
Moline, Ill. – The Secular Discalced Carmelite Community of St. Joseph and the Prophet Elijah invites people to join in the study of prayer in the tradition of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. RETREATS
Richland — The Family Life Committee of Ss. Joseph and Cabrini Parish is sponsoring a Marriage Enrichment Afternoon on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 2-4 p.m., with a smoked chop dinner following  ($10 per couple).  IlaMae Hanisch is presenting “The Love of a Lifetime” at Mother Cabrini Parish Center. Clinton – Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries at St. Boniface Hall on Fridays from Feb. 15 to March 22 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost for fried or baked fish is $8 for adults, $4 for children younger than 12, and free for children three and younger. Cost for seven jumbo shrimp is $9.
Davenport – St. Alphonsus Parish will hold Lenten fish fries Feb. 15 and 22 and March 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Desserts cost $1.
Fort Madison – Holy Family Parish’s Mardi Gras celebration will be held at McAleer Hall on Feb. 9 from 5-11 p.m. This fundraiser includes appetizers, dinner and casino games. There will also be photos taken with a Mardi Gras setting, music, a silent auction and a king cake raffle. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the parish office, from Altar & Rosary Society members and after Masses Feb. 2-3.
Iowa City — St. Mary Parish’s Knights of Columbus will hold Lenten fish fries at the KC Family Center on Fridays from Feb. 8 to March 22 from 5-7 p.m.  Catfish, shrimp and salmon dinners are $10 each; extra fish or shrimp is $3. Shrimp and catfish baskets are available for $8. Iowa City – A Mardi Gras celebration and pancake breakfast will take place at St. Patrick Church Social Hall on Sunday, Feb. 10, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Donations of $5 per person or $20 per family of four or more (free for children 5 and younger) will be accepted. Proceeds will help parish youths attend the National Catholic Youth Con-ference in November.
Iowa City — St. Mary Parish’s Knights of Columbus will host pancake breakfasts on Feb. 3 and 10 and April 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at the KC Family Center, 4776 American Legion Road. Oxford — The youth group of St. Mary’s in Oxford and St. Peter’s in Cosgrove welcomes people to Mardi Gras 2013 on Saturday, Feb. 9. This night starts with Mass at St. Mary Auditorium in Oxford at 4 p.m. Food will be served from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for seventh- to 12th-graders, $5 for kindergarteners to sixth-graders, and free for children 4 and younger. To buy presale tickets for $8, call Michelle Montgomery at (319) 828-8190. Starting at 5:30 p.m. there will be bingo, a children’s carnival, cake walk and games. All proceeds will help youths attend the National Catholic Youth Conference in November.
Riverside —  St. Mary Parish will hold a pancake breakfast at the parish center Feb. 10 from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and free for children younger than 5. The morning will include a craft and bake sale. Proceeds benefit religious education.
West Liberty — St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries Feb. 8 and 22 and March 8 and 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Parish Life Center. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $4.50 for people younger than 13.
