To the Editor:
I agree completely with Frank Wessling in his column on gun control: “Cut the fog of ignorance (Jan. 24).” So much research has been suppressed thanks to the NRA and all of its supporters in Congress.
With 300 million-plus guns in this country — we should be the safest people in the world. Tell that to the survivors of Newtown, Conn., and all of the other mass killings.
The gun lobby is making money hand over fist thanks to all the fears of “they’re going to take away our guns!”
Please urge readers to contact Congress to pass common-sense gun control measures.
