Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara E. Cover, 83, a resident of East Moline, formerly of Davenport, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. John Vianney, 4097-18th Street, Bettendorf.  Burial will take place in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport.  Mrs. Cover died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Barbara Elizabeth Desaunoy was born on March 11, 1929 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Coene) Desaunoy.  She was united in marriage to David Willetts.  He preceded her in death in 1974.  She later married Frank Cover in 1978.  He preceded her in death in 1999.

Barbara enjoyed traveling and had also enjoyed playing cards.  Although the time she cherished most, was the time spent with her family.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Barbara is survived by her children: David (Kathy) Willetts, Rough and Ready, California; Sonia (Donald) Winn, Andalusia, IL, and Cheryl (John) Nagel, The Colony, Texas; stepsons: Ronald (Louise) Cover, Blue Grass, IA and Terry Cover, Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Ken) Galusha, Rock Island, and a brother, Eugene Desaunoy, Milan, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, and a sister, Margaret Peebler.
