DAVENPORT — The Diocese of Davenport will offer a Diocesan Support Day on human resource issues on April 9 via webinar and at St. Vincent Center, 780 W. Central Park Ave. Hugh Cain, a Des Moines human resource attorney, will be a guest presenter. Other presenters include diocesan finance office staff: Char Maaske, Sheryl Lackey and Nancy Karn.
Pastors, principals, bookkeepers and others who handle any aspect of employment for their parish or school should attend. This day is designed to help participants be effective and proactive employers in complying with employment law, HR protocol, diocesan guidelines and bookkeeping.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by welcoming and prayer at 8:45 a.m. and the first session at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided on-site at 12:15 p.m., and the second session runs from 1-3 p.m.
There is no charge for the day, which is funded by the Annual Diocesan Appeal.
