Fair highlights career choices for students

DAVENPORT — Eighth-graders from Scott County Catholic schools had the opportunity to learn about career options during a career fair held Feb. 25 at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center.
Meecheeca McNeal, counselor at All Saints Catholic School in Davenport, said 32 presenters set up displays and talked with students during the daylong event. Presenters represented “a mix of parents and the community,” she added.
Jen Berger, counselor at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Davenport, assisted with the career fair for the first time and didn’t realize how much work it involved. She especially appreciated the way various presenters interacted with students.
