Catholics are welcome to Good Friday Stations of the Cross and processions in the Lee County area. Participants will start the Stations of the Cross at 1:45 p.m. in front of Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison, continue the stations with a procession through town, and conclude at Sacred Heart prior to the 3 p.m. service.
The second procession will start in front of St. John’s Church in Houghton at 5:45 p.m. and conclude prior to the 7 p.m. service.
The final procession will be after the 7 p.m. service at St. Boniface Church in Farmington. The procession will start at 8 p.m. and finish at 9 p.m. at St. Boniface.
The high school youth ministry group constructed a wooden cross from an old barn timber. Catholics are invited to carry this cross with the youths on the procession.
