Helen Lee Green was born on August 30, 1925 in Newton, Iowa, a daughter of Edgar and Inez (Boyd) Green.  Her family later moved to Davenport, where she met and wed the love of her life, Robert St. Clair.  They were united in marriage on June 8, 1942 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Davenport.  He preceded her in death in October of 1993.  They shared over 51 years of marriage and memories together.

Helen worked as a foreman at Eagle Signal, and later calibrated breathing apparatuses for Air Force jets at Bendix Corporation.  Helen enjoyed golf and loved a tough crossword puzzle.  She was a great cook; well known for her homemade chicken noodles, potato salad, and shrimp dip.  Helen always looked forward to holidays with family.  She enjoyed a little spirits, and an occasional game of euchre with her friends.

In lieu of flowers, Helen wished for you to take your grandma, mom, aunt, or significant other to dinner and a movie.
