Priest struck by pope’s humility

I was struck by the humility Pope Francis showed from the first moments of his papacy. The manner in which he addressed the crowd in St. Peter’s Square, bowing before them, asking for their prayers, was something I found very moving.  His taking the name Francis, and his first appearance without the regal dress, sends a powerful signal of his humility and abandonment of worldly power and wealth. It seems to me that people today are looking for leaders who are authentic. Pope Francis strikes me as someone who is an authentic witness to the Christian way of life.
