Regina Elementary students impressed by pope

My first impressions of Pope Francis are good because he seems at peace with all the pressure of being pope. I think it is very good that he is from another part of the world because it means the Catholic Church is realizing that there are so many good Catholics from other countries.  Some of my hopes for Pope Francis are that he will remain very faithful and close with the Lord.  I hope he will lead all of us in a good direction.

Pope Francis seems like a great new leader for the Church! The Holy Spirit definitely helped the Cardinals in their decision. From what I have heard, Pope Francis is very humble and devoted to God. Since he is also a Jesuit, I think he will demonstrate to the world how to live a simple life and not always long for money or things we don’t need. I believe that Pope Francis will be a wonderful pope.
