Parish nurse programs focus on the body, mind and spirit of those who seek assistance from such programs, said Jennifer Hildebrand, coordinator of Genesis Health Ministry Nurse Program in Davenport.
Hildebrand presented a webinar program on parish nursing/health ministry nursing March 14. The Diocese of Davenport hosted the program in its St. Vincent Center in Davenport. Around 20 people attended between the onsite offering and the webinar (where participants watched the presentation on their computers offsite around the diocese).
Bishop Martin Amos introduced the presentation by noting that in Jesus’ ministry he cured bodies of illness and disease, and touched the human spirit. Jesus’ followers today are called to provide healing ministry, the bishop said.
