Burlington —  On April 3, Father Bruce DeRammelaere will share his story of conversion to the Catholic Church during the CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Fellowship Evening) in the Notre Dame High School cafeteria from 6:45-8 p.m.
Clinton —  Peace Soup is taking place at St. Boniface Hall at 6 p.m. March 26. After a meal of soup and bread,  former Iowa Senator Maggie Tinsman will speak on human trafficking.
Davenport — The Diocese of Davenport will offer a Diocesan Support Day on human resource issues on April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. via webinar and at St. Vincent Center, 780 W. Davenport — “Just” Soup 2 will be presented in St. Anthony Parish Center this Lent. Sister Kathleen Storms, SSND, will give a talk March 21 titled “For God So Loved the Cosmos: A Christian Look at our Place in the Cosmos.” The evening begins with a simple bowl of soup at 6 p.m. Talks continue until 7:30 p.m. Registration is appreciated. Davenport — On March 21, St. Ambrose University will present “Malcolm X: Directions for 21st Century Religious Thought and Activism,” featuring Marquette University faculty member and author Rev. Bryan Massingale. The annual Wilber Symposium on the Christian Tradition and Non-Violence presentation will take place at 7 p.m. in the Rogalski Center.

Davenport — A SWAP (Soaking With A Purpose) prayer meeting will take place March 22 at 7 p.m. at Eagles’ Wings, 5816 Telegraph Road.
Davenport – A healing Mass will be celebrated March 21 at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7 p.m. Confessions begin at 6 p.m.
MEETINGS
Fort Dodge — Iowa Catholic Daughters of the Americas will gather for the 50th Biennial State Convention. The three-day event begins April 19 at the Best Western Starlite Motel and will cover bylaws changes, resolutions and election of new officers. All Catholic Daughters of America members may attend by contacting their local regents and/or district deputies to register. PILGRIMAGES
West Burlington – Ss. Mary & Patrick Parish’s Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring a bus trip to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in LaCrosse, Wis., on April 24. The bus leaves West Burlington Mall at 6 a.m. and will stop in Davenport at the CASI parking lot to pick up passengers. Cost for the bus and lunch is $55. Chaplain will be Father David Steinle. RETREATS
Coralville – A mini-retreat titled “Stories of Healing” will be held April 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Speakers will be Father Walter Helms and parishioners Mary Schepker, Jim Schepker and Mary Jedlicka Humston. They will talk about navigating their journeys of spiritual, emotional and/or physical healing. Suggested donation is $10. An optional catered lunch will follow the retreat and costs $10. Wheatland — Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat will hold the following events. On March 27-30 from Wednesday at 7 p.m. to Saturday at 11 a.m. is Easter Triduum in Prayer and Celebration. There is a morning reflection each day, liturgies in a neighboring town and Holy Thursday Seder Meal. Fee: $150. On April 3 from 10 a.m. to noon is a mini-retreat with Father Bill Kneemiller. He will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. and lead sharing on Easter redemption. Lunch follows. Fee: $8. On April 7 at 5 p.m. is a Taize Vigil Service. Churches of all faith traditions are invited. Clinton — Knights of Columbus hold fish fries at St. Boniface Hall on Fridays through March 22 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost for fried or baked fish is $8 for adults, $4 for children younger than 12, and free for children three and younger. Cost for seven jumbo shrimp is $9.
Davenport — The Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir Ensemble will be presenting a Lenten concert on March 24 at 3 p.m. in the cathedral, 422 E. 10th St. This free program will feature William Byrd’s “Passion of St. John,” plus other Lenten pieces.
Davenport — St. Alphonsus Parish holds Lenten fish fries through March 22 from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Desserts cost $1.
Grinnell — Knights of Columbus hold fish fries in St. Mary’s religious education center on Fridays through March 22 from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-14 and free for children 4 and younger.
Iowa City — A bake sale will take place at St. Wenceslaus Church March 23 from 8-11 a.m. There will be kolaches, cinnamon rolls, complimentary coffee, and Scrip.
Iowa City — St. Mary Parish’s Knights of Columbus hold Lenten fish fries at the KC Family Center on Fridays through March 22 from 5-7 p.m.  Catfish, shrimp and salmon dinners are $10 each; extra fish or shrimp is $3. Shrimp and catfish baskets are available for $8. Cheese pizza meals are $4.  After dinner, Euchre tournaments will take place for $5 per person.  For more information, call (319) 341-9097.
