Peru bishop visits sister parish in Clinton

Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace Parish in Clinton celebrated another milestone in its sister parish relationship with the parish of La Virgen Pura y Limpia in Sapillica, Peru.
On April 20, Clinton parishioners presented a check for $4,300 to Bishop Daniel Turley, OSA, bishop of the Diocese of Chulucanas, Peru, which includes the Sapillica parish.
Funds came from a memorial to Kim Limond, a Peru Task Force member and choir member who died this year, regular donations from parishioners and income from the sale of Fair Trade coffee and chocolate.
During his visit to Clinton, Bishop Turley concelebrated Mass with Father Ken Kuntz, the Clinton parish’s pastor, and Father Joseph Nguyen, its parochial vicar.
