Restore Christian values

To the Editor:
Our country has many problems to deal with. We as a people have many different opinions on these problems. We are human beings and human beings make mistakes.
Consider the huge mistake our Supreme Court made when it ruled on Roe v. Wade which made abortion legal in our country. Because of that ruling over 50 million unborn children have been killed.
Now the Supreme Court is contemplating a ruling on same-sex marriage. Here again the Court is over-stepping its power. In the Garden of Eden there was only one man and one woman — not two men or two women.
Also, our religious liberty in our nation is under attack under the guise of a health care bill. Over 2,000 years ago Peter and the apostles said, “We must obey God rather than men” (Acts of the Apostle 5:27-32). God’s laws, the Ten Commandments, supersede any manmade laws!
Our judges and politicians need to review the Declaration of Independence that formed our country. This gives us the right to life for all, especially the helpless, to defend oneself, to criticize the government, to worship freely, to own property and to have a government that protects us.
Our country’s biggest problem is that we have turned away from our God. We need to restore our Christian values to our nation now!
