Civil rights advocate to speak at SAU commencement

DAVENPORT — A Catholic Sister who marched in Alabama for civil rights in the 1960s will deliver the 2013 St. Ambrose University spring commencement address.
Sister Barbara Moore, CSJ, also will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during a ceremony that begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the i wireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline, Ill.
A total of 679 degrees will be conferred: 470 bachelor’s degrees, 200 master’s degrees and nine doctoral degrees.
