Boy Scouts and Venture Crew members (male and female) interested in earning the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem (A Scout is Reverent) are encouraged to attend classes in Iowa City next fall and winter.
The Diocese of Davenport Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting has scheduled classes to help Scouts complete the requirements for this award, said committee member Jim Pitcher.
Eligible participants must be registered, of the Catholic faith and an active member of a unit for a minimum of six months. The award is designed for youths who are 13-14 years old and have completed sixth grade. Older Boy Scouts and Venture members may earn this award up to age 18 years old.
