Knight of the Year is a ‘fisher of men’

Pablo Martinez, a member of St. Mary Parish in Ottumwa and General Shields Knights of Columbus Council 888, has been chosen Iowa Knights of Columbus Knight of the Year. He was honored during the state convention last month in Coralville.
“In the state of Iowa there are around 32,000 Knights of Columbus and 17 members were proposed for this honorable nomination, and Pablo was selected this year,” said Greg Bartow, Grand Knight of Council 888. “The charism of service to Christ, the Church and the community is in Pablo’s heart. He fulfills Christ’s calling to become a fisher of men as he has motivated 22 new members,” Bartow added.
