Here’s an idea for the next great national move in health care. Let’s focus on the health side of this equation. The care side will then be more personal, more proactive and much less expensive.
To do that, we’d need a good picture, good modeling, real evidence of what a healthy lifestyle looks like. Then we could determine the most important ingredients of that life.
A broad sample of Americans generally agreed to be a healthy subset of the whole population will be needed. This group would be our picture of desirable health care. There is an obvious candidate for that role: American Catholic nuns.
