Three bathrooms for retired priests living at St. Vincent Center in Davenport will have walk-in showers thanks to a donation from My Father’s House, Inc. A separate donation also benefited the Vocations Department.

DAVENPORT — Two donations from My Father’s House, Inc. are benefiting the Vocations Department of the Davenport Diocese and helping to refurbish some retired priests’ apartments.
My Father’s House, a nonprofit organization, was established by the late Father Thomas McCon­ville, who wanted a retirement home for priests near Oska­loosa to help serve the west end of the diocese, said Marvin Feist, the organization’s treasurer.
Fr. McConville acquired the first donation of property. Over time, additional property was donated.
