RIVERSIDE — St. Mary Parish invites people to its annual Labor Day celebration Sept. 2.
Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A smoked Iowa chop dinner will cost $10 in advance or $11 at the door; a fried chicken dinner will cost $9 in advance or $10 at the door. A hot dog kids’ meal will cost $5 in advance or $6 at the door. Children younger than 5 get a free kids’ meal. To order tickets in advance, call (319) 648-4149. Carryouts will be available.
A raffle will offer a grand prize of $1,500. Festivities include crafts, a farmers’ market, bingo, deer shoot, kids’ games, obstacle course and a 1 p.m. tractor pull (sign up at 12:30 p.m.) An auction will offer quilts, stained glass, pews for Christmas Eve Mass and more.
