St. Ambrose to host portrayal of Warsaw ghetto heroine

The Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities announces that Judy Winnick will bring her portrayal of Irena Sendler, “The Angel of the Warsaw Ghetto,” for a series of Quad-Cities events highlighting Holocaust education from Oct.1-3.
One of the free performances will be held in Davenport at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. The annual Holocaust Institute will be presented Oct. 3 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tri-City Jewish Center, 2715 30th St., Rock Island, Ill.
Winnick, a former Colorado Distinguished Teacher Award winner, will serve as the keynote for the institute.
Educators, as well as the public, may attend for $15 in advance by Sept. 20. Ticket at the door will be $20. Students attend for free. Those interested in attending should call the Jewish Federation at (309) 793-1300.
