Christiane (Baudry) Young passed away on August 31, 2013, at Wesley Acres, Des Moines, where she was a resident. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the Mass in the gathering space at the church. Private family burial will take place in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Christiane was born February 28, 1922, in Sains du Nord, France. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo M. Young, Jr. on November 4, 2000, and is survived by her children, Mary-Christine, wife of Maurice Archambault, Robesonia, PA, Therese, wife of Ronald Canaday, Des Moines, and William Young, husband of Patricia, Port Byron, IL. There are also six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
