Iowa City parish seeks missing Holy Family statue

IOWA CITY – St. Patrick Parish is seeking help finding a statue of the Holy Family that was in the former church when a tornado hit on Holy Thursday 2006.  While the church building was destroyed, the statue needed only minor repairs. After the tornado, the statue and many other salvageable items were taken to a storage location in Davenport, but the statue has now been missing for a year.
If you have seen it or have information about its whereabouts, please call the parish office at (319) 337-2856.
The statue was a gift from a deceased parish member. The parish has a special place reserved for it in the new church at 4330 St. Patrick Drive.
