ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — A fundraising event benefitting the Humility of Mary Shelter, Inc. will occur Sunday, May 4 at the Establishment Theatre in Rock Island, Ill. The event will feature stand-up comedian Chris Schlicting, along with a ComedySportz match. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.and the performances start at 6 p.m. The event is family-friendly, and tickets are $10 each. Humility of Mary Shelter, Inc., located in Davenport, provides emergency shelter and transitional and permanent supportive housing programs that offer opportunities for men and women experiencing homelessness to become emotionally, mentally, and physically more stable. The not-for-profit organization has been serving the Quad-Cities community since 2008.
