SAU conference to focus on Affordable Care Act

Davenport — The 16th annual St. Ambrose University Social Justice Conference, “Health Care Justice: The Affordable Care Act,” will take place May 8 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Rogalski Center.

Presentation subtopics include reframing the Affordable Care Act in terms of its universality, women and the Affordable Care Act, opportunities and challenges for mental health providers, and community health improvement with underserved populations. These presentations will be offered by local social service, mental health, and medical care providers.

The conference is being presented by the SAU School of Social Work. Continuing education credits units are available to Iowa and Illinois licensed social workers. It is open to the public.
