Davenport — High school students who are participating in high school mock trial competition, considering a career in law, or wanting to improve their competitive, critical thinking and debate skills, are invited to the St. Ambrose University Mock Trial summer program. The one-day program will take place Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Coaching staff, team members and alumni of the St. Ambrose Mock Trial Team will present the various parts of a mock trial case utilizing actual case materials. Davenport — Project Rachel evening Mass and awareness program will take place June 18 at 7 p.m., at Sacred Heart Cathe-dral. Project Rachel offers hope and healing through post-abortion ministry. Oxford — A benefit for Larry Eister will take place June 28 at St. Mary’s Hall. Dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m., with a silent auction, 50/50 tickets, and a post-dinner live auction. Eister had a heart attack and a bad fall down the steps that led to a brain injury on Dec. 31, 2013. He has been in the hospital and rehab since.
