Dear Friends in Christ,
I want to extend my gratitude for all you have done in the past to support the Church in southeastern Iowa through the Annual Diocesan Appeal. This important endeavor makes it possible for the pastoral work and spiritual mission of the Church to continue.
Pope Francis in Joy of the Gospel says, “The joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus.” In his encounter with Jesus the pope exudes joy through his presence, warm smile and inviting personality. He invites and challenges us to share our faith with this same joy.
In that spirit, the theme of this year’s appeal is Sharing Our Faith. We share our faith in many ways: parents with their children, in conversations, classrooms, from the pulpit, at the local soup kitchen, visiting the sick, at parish potlucks and the list goes on. When we share our faith we encounter Jesus and thus enable others to do the same.
The Annual Diocesan Appeal is crucial to the Church’s ability to share our faith in order to benefit faithful Catholics and countless others across the 79 parishes in our 22 county diocese.
Your Annual Diocesan Appeal pledge will spread the Gospel joy, help to share our faith and support the good will and good works throughout the Diocese of Davenport. Please give generously so others may continue to encounter Jesus through our ministry.

Compartiendo

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sinceramente suyo en Cristo,
