Janet McCabe of the Catholic Service Board, which operates Cinderella’s Cellar, said rooms of Christmas items will go on sale. Thanksgiving and fall items currently on sale will continue to be on sale at the resale shop, she noted.

Proceeds from sales at Cinderella’s Cellar go to the Kahl Home.

Cinderella’s Cellar carries clothing, furniture, decorations, kitchenware, books and more.

The Catholic Service Board, which was established in the 1950s, has approximately 120 members. Many of those members volunteer at Cinderella’s Cellar and/or at the Kahl Home, McCabe said.

At the Kahl Home, service board members participate in Bingo and crafts with residents, sponsor monthly birthday parties, a monthly cocktail party, fancy luncheon, operate a gift shop and interact with residents.

Cinderella’s Cellar is located at 230 W. 35th St. in Davenport. Regular hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Visit the website at www.cinderellascellar.com or on Facebook at “cinderellas cellar resale shop” or call (563) 323-1923.
