U.S. Congress/Senate debates at SAU

DAVENPORT — St. Ambrose is hosting two separate debates Oct. 11 featuring candidates for the U.S. Senate and Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.
The 2nd Congressional District debate between U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa, and Republican challenger Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks will be at 4 p.m. It will be live-streamed on KWQC-TV6’s website with a delayed broadcast at 8 p.m.
U.S. Senate candidates U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, and Republican State Sen. Joni Ernst will debate at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is by ticket only. Free tickets will be available from the candidates’ offices, at KWQC TV-6 or from the Quad-City Times. The Braley-Ernst debate will be broadcast live, at 7 p.m., on KWQC-TV-6.
Both debates will take place in the St. Ambrose Galvin Fine Arts Center. No visible political signage, buttons or apparel will be permitted. For more information, contact SAU Director of Government and Community Relations P.J. Foley at (563) 333-6025.
