Columbus Junction — Members of the Melkite and Byzantine Catholic Churches will celebrate the Divine Liturgy Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, and the public is invited. Experience worship of the Trinity as celebrated in Antioch (where Christians were first called Christians) for the past 1,700 years.
Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting Ignite — a night of worship — Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the church.
MEETINGS
Burlington — PEP – Parents Encouraging Parents, is a new group that will begin meeting Nov. 12 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Notre Dame High School Choral Room. The featured speaker will be Trooper Jason Marlow, Iowa State Patrol, who will speak on internet safety for children. All parents are welcome and child care is provided.
Retreats

Bettendorf — Our Lady of Loudres Parish will sell handmade items from its sister chapel in Arequipa, Peru. The items will be sold at a benefit sale Nov. 15 and 16 after all Masses at Lourdes. Money raised will be used to help fund the chapel’s needed construction project, which includes a bathroom, kitchen and meeting rooms for faith formation and outreach.
Burlington – The CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Fellowship Evening) will be open in the Notre Dame cafeteria from 6:45-8 p.m. Nov. 12 as Karen Kuechmann and Lee Skeens present “A Tribute to Veterans — Faith and Trauma.”
Camanche — Church of the Visitation’s Altar and Rosary annual bazaar and luncheon will take place Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parish hall.

Clinton — The Franciscan Peace Center’s ongoing Social Justice Film Fest continues on Nov. 13 with “A Place at the Table.” The screening will begin at 6:30 p.m. at The Canticle, event is free and open to the public.

Davenport — St. Anthony Parish and Holy Family Parish are offering a parish renewal Nov. 23-25 with John Donahue-Grossman. The theme will be “Feeding the Hungers of Our Lives.” No cost; Holy Family will host 9 to 10 a.m. sessions Nov. 24-25, with 7 to 8:30 p.m. each day at St. Anthony. A social will take place after each evening event.
Davenport — St. Mary Church is hosting its annual bazaar at the parish hall Nov. 8-9. Items for sale include sewing, baked goods and more. On Nov. 8, it will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost of the lunch is $7. On Nov. 9, the bazaar will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an authentic Mexican breakfast served for $7.
Iowa City — St. Wenceslaus Parish is hosting a Holiday Bazaar Nov. 22 from 8 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. and Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to noon. Home­made kolaches, cinnamon rolls, attic treasurers, silent auction, crafts.
Iowa City — St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Council 14481 is hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast Nov. 23 in the social hall from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Patrick Church. The Trinitarians of Mary will be selling rosaries and other items after all Masses in the narthex and social hall.
Keokuk — Church of All Saints is hosting a fall bazaar and turkey dinner Nov. 16. DInner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Vincent Catholic School, and festival booths in the gym will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost for dinner is $8 for adults and $3 for children.
Muscatine — Knights of Columbus is hosting its annual Thanksgiving dinner buffet Nov. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the parish’s Gannon Hall. Angus beef and home-made noodles will be served for a free-will donation. Proceeds will provide Thanksgiving dinners to residents of MCSA, the Jesus Mission, and area families in need.
North English — St. Joseph Altar & Rosary will be sponsoring a Silent Auction/Salad Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.
Tipton — St. Mary Parish is hosting a Christmas Bazaar Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, cookie walk and food stand.
West Branch — Catholic Order of Foresters Court 2176 is sponsoring the St. Bernadette annual soup supper and bake sale, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 at St. Bernadette Church. Price for the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children age 3 to 10.
