LITURGY/PRAYER
Burlington – The CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Fellowship Evening) will be open in the Notre Dame cafeteria from 6:45-8 p.m. Dec. 3. Gifts of faith will be discussed with John Bennett.
Clinton — On Dec. 11 at 6 p.m., Sisters of St. Francis are hosting a prayer vigil of mourning and remembrance of those who have died as a result of gun violence. The vigil will take place at The Canticle.
Davenport — St. Ambrose University will celebrate its patron saint with Mass and McMullen awards Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Chapel.
Davenport — The 25th annual Night of Prayer for Life will take place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral adoration chapel Dec. 8 from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Davenport — Sacred Heart Cathedral is hosting the following weekly holy hours: prayers for our country Sundays from 8 to 9 p.m.; hour of divine mercy Sundays from 3 to 4 p.m.; praying for priests, seminarians and the Davenport Diocese Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting Project Rachel adoration hours the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting Circle of Love charismatic prayer group Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Keokuk — All Saints Parish is hosting a Dec. 3 rosary at 7 p.m., Dec. 10 rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by adoration and Dec. 17 rosary at 7 p.m.
Retreats
Clinton — Sisters of St. Francis are hosting an advent retreat, “Coming Home to Christmas,” Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Canticle. For more details visit www.clintonfranciscans.com or call (563) 242-7611. Admission is a $25 donation, lunch included. Deadline to register is Dec. 1.
LeClaire — Our Lady of the River Parish is hosting a mini-retreat Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon on preparing for Christmas through prayer. The event is free and open to the public.
Rock Island, Ill. — A young adult mini-retreat will take place Dec. 13 at Benet House Retreat Center from 10 a.m. to noon. The grounds will be open for reflection and fellowship following the retreat. For questions and registration, contact Sister Bobbi Bussan at rbussan@

DeWitt — St. Joseph Parish is hosting a Christmas Cookie Walk Dec. 6 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the parish’s Harness Hall. $5 per pound; create your own trays. Containers provided. Recycled Christ­mas decor will also be for sale.
