Clinton — Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace Parish is hosting an 8-week Oremus Catholic prayer study on Mondays from March 9 through May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the church. There is no program March 23. Keokuk — Praying of the rosary will take place at All Saints Parish March 4 at 7 p.m. Praying of the rosary followed by adoration will take place March 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Bettendorf — St. John Vianney Parish is hosting a GriefShare grief support group from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoons from Feb. 22 to May 24. There will be no meeting Easter Sunday. Persons are welcome to begin attending the group at any point. Each session is “self-contained,” so participants will not have to attend in sequence. Burlington — Cafe will take place March 4 from 6:45 to 8 p.m. in the Notre Dame Cafeteria. Speaker Samer Salama will talk about the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Clinton — St. Edward’s Knights of Columbus Council #707 will host Lenten fish fries every Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Hall. Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 through 12 and free for children under 4 years old. Cost for a shrimp dinner is $10. Carryout available. The Ladies Auxiliary will host a bake sale during the fish fries.
Coralville — St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus #15049 will host fish fries Feb. 27, March 13 and March 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the church’s lower level. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-10 and free for ages 3 and under. Carry out is available. Proceeds benefit Knights Scholarship Fund.
Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting Ignite Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. The theme for the evening is “Down from the Mountain top; Sustaining the Encoun-ter.” The evening will consist of praise music, a message and testimony. All ages welcome, babysitting is available.
Davenport — St. Anthony Parish is hosting “Just” Soup Lenten Soup and Speaker evenings March 4, 18 and 25 from 6-7:45 p.m. Each week’s speaker will share a presentation on a social justice issue.
Davenport — St. Alphonsus Parish will host lenten fish fries Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. from Feb. 20 to March 27. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children.
DeWitt — St. Joseph Parish will host fish fries on Fridays during Lent from 5-7:30 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall. Cost is $10.50 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 through 12, and free for children 4 years and under. Grilled cheese is available.
Iowa City — A Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser will take place March 1 from 8 a.m. to noon in the St. Patrick Church Social Hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for youth age 12 years and under. Proceeds to help defray National Catholic Youth Conference registration fees.
Iowa City — St. Patrick’s annual Wearin’ o’the Green Irish Break-fast will be served on March 15 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Social Hall. Free-will offerings accepted for breakfast. Guests can purchase chances to win themed Pot s o’Gold. Proceeds to support parish ministries.
Iowa City — A Way of the Cross service will be presented at St. Patrick Church March 8 at 6:30 p.m. Parish members will portray characters who were present at the Crucifixion. There is no cost to attend. A soup supper will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the social hall.
Lone Tree — Parishes in Lone Tree and Nichols are jointly hosting a pancake breakfast March 1 at the Lone Tree American Legion from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children 6 through 12, and free for children under 5.
West Liberty — Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Parish are hosting fish fries Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. from Feb. 20 to March 27 at the Parish Life Center. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 5.
