Senior citizens: RSVP for senior prom

Seniors ages 60 and older are invited to the “Our Lady of the ‘Moon’ River Senior Prom” to be held Saturday, May 16, after the 6 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of the River Parish in LeClaire.
The parish’s Health Cabinet and Knights of Columbus Council are hosting the free event in the parish hall as one way to engage senior citizens in a variety of activities, says Jennifer Hildebrand, the Health Cabinet’s leader.
“Dig out those old prom dresses and leisure suits and join us for an evening of fun and fellowship. This event is free and we will not be checking IDs at the door!” Hildebrand adds. “Come alone or bring a ‘date.’ Bring a neighbor or friend. Join us in your prom attire (or whatever ‘suits’ you) for the 6 p.m. Mass, followed by a delicious meal, and dancing to the oldies. If you need transportation we can accommodate your needs. All we ask is that you sign up by May 10 so we can plan accordingly.”
To sign up, call Hildebrand at (563) 370-4412.
