Davenport — St. Anthony Parish hosts a weekly grief support group Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. All faiths are welcome; begin at any session. The meeting takes place in the old St. Anthony’s school building to the rear of the Main Street parking lot. Walk-ins welcome. Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting a grief ministry for those enduring any type of hurt. The group meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in McEleney Hall. Sessions began May 7 and run for 10 weeks. The first four weeks are open, after that the group will become closed to new people until a new 10 week session begins. Keokuk — A Baccalaureate Mass for graduating high school seniors will be celebrated May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish.
Moline, Ill. — The Secular Discalced Carmelite Community of St. Joseph and the Prophet Elijah are hosting a study of prayer in the tradition of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John the Cross the second Sunday of each month at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Wheatland — Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat is hosting “Catch Your Breath” May 15-17. Retreat begins 5 p.m. May 15 and ends May 17 at 10 a.m. This retreat, led by Pat Shea, offers breath to soul, through quiet time, guided meditations and other spiritual opportunities. Enjoy breath to body renewal through sleep, delicious meals and open spaces. Cost is $100. Additionally, Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat is hosting a Marriage Spirituality retreat May 30 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Faciliators are Deacon Daryl and Pat Fortin. Retreat consists of a day of reflection on what it means to live out your marriage vocation with God as the third partner. Activities in­clude prayer, talks, walks and conversation on how to grow together spiritually as a couple. Day concludes with Mass at 4 p.m. with Msgr. Frank Hen­rick­sen. Cost is $40 per couple. Davenport — St. Mary Parish is hosting a retirement party for Father Ed O’Melia June 27 following the 5 p.m. Mass. The festivities will be held outdoors behind the rectory (weather permitting).
Iowa City — Young Adult Catholics (Y.A.C) meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 7:30-9 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in the Zaga Room downstairs.

Muscatine — A Holy Land Military Rosary fundraiser will take place at Ss. Mary and Mathias School May 17 from noon – 4 p.m. A spaghetti dinner will be served for a free-will donation. Rock Island, Ill. — The Faith in Action Committee of St. Pius X Parish is hosting a “Celebrating Women Religious” event on May 24. All Quad-City area sisters have been invited, and those who wish to honor them are encouraged to attend. Vespers begin at 4 p.m. in the church.
