Bettendorf — St. John Vianney Parish is offering a GriefShare Ministry Sundays from 2-4 p.m. in the Health Ministry area in the lower level of the church. Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting a grief ministry for those enduring any type of hurt. The group meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in McEleney Hall. Sherrard, Ill. — A group of lay people in the Davenport Diocese has organized a golf outing for Oct. 4 at Fyre Lake Golf Course to socialize and learn more about faith enrichment opportunities. The event begins with a noon shot-gun start, best ball format. An outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m., followed by a post-event picnic, live entertainment and a cash bar. Roast pork and turkey dinner with homemade pies will be served to adults for $8 and children for $4. Country store, kids’ games, mini raffles and cash raffle are among the festivities.
Wilton — St. Mary’s Fall Dinner will take place Oct. 4 from noon to 3 p.m. at the parish. Ham and turkey dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-10 years old, children 4 years old and younger eat free. Country store and crafts, grab bags and home-made treats are among the festivities.
