Grinnell — St. Mary Parish is hosting its next event in a series of programs about Laudato Si and climate change Sept 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the basement hall. This event, open to all but created especially with farmers and those in agriculture in mind, is entitled, “Iowa Agricul-ture, Climate Change and Caring.” The presenter is Jerry Hatfield, laboratory director and supervisory plant physiologist at the National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment at Iowa State University.

Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting a grief ministry for those enduring any type of hurt. The group meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in McEleney Hall. Sessions begin Sept. 10 and run for 10 weeks. The first four weeks are open, after that the group will become closed to new people until a new 10 week session begins. Darien, Illinois — A one-day pilgrimage to the St. Therese Shrine in Darien, Illinois will depart from Our Lady of Victory Parish in Davenport Oct. 10 at 7 a.m. and return by 7 p.m. The National Shrine of Saint Therese has the largest collection of Little Flower relics and memorabilia outside of Lisieux, France. The day includes Mass at the St. Therese Chapel, a Q&A with staff, a guided tour, meal and more.
