LITURGY/PRAYER
Burlington — Ss. John & Paul Catholic Parish is running a Year of Mercy Lenten food drive benefitting the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Collection box­es are in each church vestibule.
Burlington — Cafe (Catholic Adult Fellow­ship Evening) will continue March 16 at 6:45 p.m. in the Notre Dame Cafeteria.
Clinton — Peace Soup will take place at 6 p.m. March 15 with a presentation by Army chaplain and diocesan priest Father Bill Kneemiller.
Clinton — Sisters of St. Francis are celebrating Lenten vespers every Sunday during Lent at 6 p.m.
Davenport — Sister Nancy Murray, OP, will give a one-woman performance on the life of martyred Sister Dorothy Stang March 10 at 7 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel on St. Ambrose University’s campus. This event will benefit Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat. Fee is $10 at door. Free for St. Ambrose students.
Davenport — St. Ambrose University is hosting a webinar series on the Bible and justice March 12, April 23 and May 7. No cost, but pre-register at www.sau.edu/

Davenport — Sacred Heart Cathedral offers Masses Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 8 a.m. and Monday-Friday even­ings at 5:30 p.m. Adoration follows until 11 p.m. On Wednes­days, after the 5:30 p.m. Mass, confessions will be heard until 7 p.m.
Davenport — St. Anthony Parish is hosting a free Lenten concert by its adult choir March 20 at 4 p.m. Reception to follow.

Muscatine — A healing Mass will take place March 10 at Ss. Mary & Mathias Parish. Con­fessions will be heard at 6 p.m., praise and worship music will be sung at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7 p.m.

RETREAT
Clinton — Prince of Peace Parish is hosting a Year of Mercy retreat March 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. To attend, call the parish office at (563) 242-3311.
Wheatland — Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat is hosting a Women of Mercy retreat March 18-19 for females featuring author Kathy Coffey. The retreat combines Brother Mickey McGrath’s art with a reflection of what mercy means. Cost is $125; scholarships are available. Register at (563) 336-8414.
SOCIAL
Bettendorf — St. John Vianney Parish is hosting a Lenten Fish Friday dinner March 11 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the parish activity center. Baked fish, fish tacos, shrimp tacos and grilled cheese will be served along with a variety of sides.
Davenport — Davenport Knights of Columbus (1111 W. 35th Street) are hosting Lenten fish fries on Fridays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For more info call (563) 391-1532.
Davenport — St. Alphonsus Parish hosts its Lenten fish fries on Fridays from 4-7 p.m. at the parish. Meals are $10 for adults and $4 for children.
Davenport — Our Lady of Victory Parish will host a euchre tournament in the JFK school cafeteria March 12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Games begin at 6 p.m. Cost is $25 per person; $50 for a team of two. Call the parish for a registration form.
Iowa City — St. Patrick Parish is hosting its annual Irish Breakfast March 13 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the social hall. Free-will donation accepted. Themed “pots ‘o gold” will be given away at 1:45 p.m.
Harper — Harper Knights of Columbus are hosting a fish fry in the KC hall Fridays during Lent, with the exception of Good Friday, from 5-7:30 p.m. Cost is $10/person.
LeClaire — Our Lady of the River Parish is hosting a trivia night March 12 at the church. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. trivia event. Cost is $10 per person. Lone Tree — St. Mary parishes of Nichols and Lone Tree are hosting a pancake breakfast March 13 at the Lone Tree American Legion from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for youth ages 6-12 and free for children under 5.
