Burlington — Cafe (Catholic Adult Fellow­ship Evening) continues April 6 at 6:45 p.m. in the Notre Dame Cafeteria with a presentation on Liturgy of the Hours with Father Marty Goetz and Deacon Bob Glaser.
Burlington — Ss. John & Paul Parish is hosting a three day Mercy celebration at St. Paul Catholic Church. On April 1, Bishop Martin Amos will celebrate Mass at 5:30 p.m., followed by a talk on God’s mercy. A light meal will be served after the Mass. On April 2, author and Catholic radio show host Patrick Madrid will speak from 9 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Lunch will be served between the presentations. On April 3, celebrate the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass for the Keokuk Deanery at 4 p.m. Prayers begin at 2 p.m.
Coralville — St. Thomas More Parish is hosting a mini-retreat April 16 from 8:45-noon. The retreat will feature author Cecil Murphey, writer of “90 Minutes in Heaven.” The theme of the retreat is “Bloom Where You Are Planted: Growing and Being Nourished in God’s Love.” Suggested donation is $10. Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting a grief ministry for those enduring any type of hurt. The group meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in McEleney Hall. Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish is hosting “Ignite” on March 31 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The theme is “From Isolation to Embrace: Experiencing the Arms of Mercy.” Babysitting available for 1-8 year olds.
Davenport — Celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday April 3 from 2-4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Walk through the holy doors, adore the Blessed Sacrament and enjoy beautiful music.
Davenport/Iowa City — Jason Evert, founder of the Chastity Project, will speak at St. Patrick Parish-Iowa City April 27 and at Our Lady of Victory Parish-Daven­port on April 28. Both evenings follow the same time schedule. In his first presentation from 6-7:15 p.m., he will speak to parents about how to prepare children for purity. Teens can enjoy a pizza dinner during that time slot. A presentation for teens, “Love or Lust?” will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and includes confession, adoration and music. Each Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. in the parish’s Denning Hall, guests can bring a lawn chair or blanket and watch a faith-themed movie.
