BETTENDORF — “Come Grow with Us” is the theme for this year’s annual fundraising banquet for the Women’s Choice Center on Oct. 26.

Janet Parshall, host and executive producer of “In the Market with Janet Parshall,” will be the featured keynote speaker. Her afternoon radio show is heard on more than 500 stations nationwide through Moody Radio, said Jessica Ricke, development director for the pro-life center.

Vicki Tyler, executive director of the Women’s Choice Center, said Parshall was highly recommended by other pregnancy centers that provide services similar to the Women’s Choice Center.

According to her biography, Parshall has been an advocate for life and for principles and policies that strengthen the family. In 2005 she was selected by President George W. Bush to represent the White House as a public delegate to the United National Commission on the Status of Women.

As a radio and television commentator, she speaks on public policy issues that impact family preservation and promotion. Parshall has appeared on several television and radio programs and has been featured in People magazine. A graduate of Carroll College in Wisconsin, she has been appointed twice by former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson to the Wisconsin Women’s Council and the Governor’s Commission on Families and Children. She is a columnist for LIFE: Beautiful magazine and is the author of several books. She and her husband, Craig, have four children and six grandchildren.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 in the Mississippi Room at the River Center in Davenport. Dinner and program will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The night also includes harp music by Lydia Olson and a guest singer. Tyler will review the center’s past year and its mobile unit “Grace.” Dr. Tim and Beth Millea will be the masters of ceremonies.

Dinner is complimentary, but there will be an opportunity to make a financial gift. Reservations are required in advance by contacting Tyler or Ricke at the Women’s Choice Center at (563) 332-0475.
