Business coalition and SAU center merge

DAVENPORT — To further expand its reach into the Quad Cities’ manufacturing industry, the nonprofit Midwest Manufacturing Business Coalition (MMBC) has partnered with the St. Ambrose University Professional Development Center (PDC).

In December, the PDC absorbed the coalition that was created several years ago to help fill a need for manufacturing business training. Manufacturing executives from across the Midwest took advantage of the coalition’s central hub of information for the industry.

For decades, the PDC has provided expert training and coaching to our region’s manufacturing and business community. This new partnership creates an environment where PDC resources will help grow our manufacturing base through educational opportunities in project management, leadership, supervisory skills, and coaching/mentoring, including customized training; business networking; and sharing best practices.

“We are thrilled to have SAU take on the coalition’s efforts,” said Andrea Olson, former MMBC chairperson. “The amazing talent and resources they bring to the table will only further the advancement of our vision to help Quad Cities manufacturers grow and compete more effectively in today’s business climate.”
