To the Editor:
Thank you, Father Chris Weber, for your excellent guest column in the March 21 issue of The Catholic Messenger. Your response to an editorial written by a professor in theology at St. Ambrose University was well thought out, reasonable, inspiring and reassuring.
I share your love for our Catholic Church teachings and people (warts and all). Thank you for openly acknowledging these flaws and yet showing the need to keep Christ front and center. Our world needs good priests like you to battle the current culture.
I will continue to pray for our priests — especially when they are called to minister to students who are being taught by professors who think the church needs to be “remade.” Perhaps these professors could learn from the great saint that their university is named after.
