Elmer A. (Bud) Adam, 93, the father of three diocesan priests — Fathers Nick, Rich and Chuck Adam — died June 23 at Sunnybrook at Fairfield in Fairfield where he had been living.
Elmer was born Aug. 3, 1925. He lived and farmed his entire life north of Richland, graduating from Richland High School in 1943. He married Helen Pacha at St. Joseph’s Church in East Pleasant Plain in 1948; she survives. Also surviving are 10 sons and three daughters. Elmer was a lifelong member of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland, helping to build it in 1950.
Family visitation was scheduled for June 27 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the funeral Mass to be celebrated June 28 at 11 a.m. at the church. Fathers Nick, Rich and Chuck Adam will preside.
